Rafael “Rafe” Shoup

With over 25 years of experience in the insurance industry, Rafael “Rafe” Shoup has acquired expertise in various property casualty insurance disciplines, with an emphasis in workers‚ compensation insurance. He has been actively involved in workers compensation reform, legislation, policy and has served on various boards and committees due to his expertise in the California Experience Rating and Uniform Statistical Reporting Plans. Mr. Shoup began his carrier with Farmers Insurance Group in 1983, managing the agencies commercial and personal lines departments. In 1986 Rafe joined Cumbre, Inc and quickly became a top commercial lines producer. Since that time he has become a Partner of Cumbre, Inc. and has served as the organizations Board Chairman and Chief Financial Officer. He currently manages key agency Association Group, VIP, and Public Entity accounts.
